Stuntman Fell in Broadway 'Spider-Man'

One of the actors playing "Spider-Man" in the superhero's new Broadway musical was admitted to hospital last week after he broke both his wrists in a terrifying on-stage accident. "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark" is due to premiere in New York later this year, but producers unveiled some of the show's spectacular stunts early to a small group of ticket brokers and sales agents.

But the presentation when horribly wrong when Kevin Aubin, one of several stuntmen to don the Spider-Man costume in the production, was injured in front of the horrified audience. Aubin was whipped into the air as part of an aerial stunt, but he came crashing down at the front of the stage and snapped both of his wrists as he hit the floor. The show was halted and the actor was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

One of the show's producers, Michael Cohl, has now spoken out to insist all safety procedures are being followed correctly. In an email to the New York Post, he writes, "With a show as complex as this, safety is the top priority for everyone at Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark."

‘Hangover' Director Begins to Use Sexual Tales on ‘Taxicab Confessions'

"The Hangover" director Todd Phillips started his career luring sexual tales from members of the public on late night TV show "Taxicab Confessions". Phillips experienced his first taste of filmmaking on the long-running HBO show, driving loose-lipped passengers around New York City.

And he claims he's individually responsible for the series moving from the Big Apple to Las Vegas. Phillips tells Details, "I was an intern and HBO needed more English-speaking drivers to get people to talk about f***king, which is my specialty. So I got my hack license and did the show in New York."

"It was thrown out of the city after I asked a guy who wouldn't talk to get out of my cab. The head of the Taxi & Limousine Commission had to write a letter to the New York Post. It said, 'To Mayor Giuliani and the citizens of New York City, we would like to apologize for the indefensible behavior of HBO and Todd Phillips."

Sam Was Made Curious in New ‘Tron Legacy' Clip by Quorra

Walt Disney Pictures has released a new clip from "Tron Legacy" via Apple, sharing scene which features Garrett Hedlund's Sam Flynn and Olivia Wilde's Quorra. The one-minute snippet follows the two in a Light Runner with Quorra sitting behind the wheel as they seemingly make an escape. During their way, Sam is wondering where Quorra is taking him.

At the same time, 20 minutes of the film are screened in 3-D for free during Tron Night on October 28 in several countries all around the world. The 5th International Rome Film Festival, which also hosted the screening, even recreated atmospheres of "Tron Legacy" on the red carpet at Auditorium Parco Della Musica with themed costumes and choreographies.

"Tron Legacy" is a sequel to 1982 "Tron". The upcoming movie will follow Sam Flynn as he investigates the disappearance of his father, Jeff Bridges' Kevin Flynn, and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, this action sci-fi will open wide in U.S. theaters on December 17.

Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough Are The First Time in 'Footloose' Remake

Craig Brewer is currently directing "Footloose" and he has shared a picture of the main cast from the set via his Twitter page. Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough, who take the roles of Ren McCormack and Ariel Moore respectively, were snapped wearing their costumes probably for the filming of a big prom scene.

Kenny is cast for the part of Ren after Zac Efron and Chace Crawford backed out of the project. Beside Kenny and Julianne, the upcoming film will also feature Dennis Quaid and Andie McDowell as Ariel's parents, and Miles Teller as hometown boy Willard who befriends Ren.

Brewer's "Footloose" will serve as a remake to a 1984 film of the same title which had Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer on the leads. The story revolves around Ren who moves from Chicago to a small town, where his love for dancing is viewed as a threat by the locals.

Paramount Pictures plans to drop the drama musical in theaters across the nation on April 1, 2011.

Mel Gibson's Ax Still Regreted by 'Hangover 2' Director

Todd Phillips will always regret having to ax Mel Gibson from "The Hangover" sequel, insisting the troubled star is "one of our finest actors" and deserves a second chance. The "Lethal Weapon" star hit headlines this year when his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva accused him of beating her in a violent domestic dispute, while tape recordings of their bitter arguments later appeared online.

Gibson was due to make his bigscreen comeback with a role in Phillips' upcoming comedy sequel, but he was axed from the movie after members of the cast and crew objected to working with the troubled actor. The director admits he remains bitterly disappointed at having to change the casting, because he is a big fan of Gibson's work.

He tells Entertainment Tonight, "He's one of our finest actors and, quite honestly, one of our finest directors. But The Hangover II is a family... and as much as I loved the idea, a lot of people didn't... I didn't want anything to come in between that family."

'Breaking Dawn' Line-Up Was Added More Actors

Summit Entertainment has added eight names to "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" cast ensemble. These new additions are Olga Fonda ("Love Hurts"), Janelle Froehlich ("Hacienda Heights"), Masami Kosaka ("The Runaways"), Sebastiao Lemos (Brazilian TV series "Forca-Tarefa"), Amadou Ly ("The Tested", "The Bridge"), Ty Olsson ("2012 (2009)"), Wendell Pierce ("Ray") and Carolina Virguez (Spanish TV series "Matalobos").

Summit says the newly announced cast members will take supporting roles but does not detail their characters. Fonda and co join a bunch of actor who were earlier cast as the Covens and Nomads. Meanwhile, Mackenzie Foy is tapped to portray Edward Cullen and Bella Swan's daughter, Renesmee.

According to Collider, "Breaking Dawn" should be currently filming in Louisiana. Last week, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been spotted hitting the set in Baton Rouge.

Serving as the last installment of "Twilight" film franchise, "Breaking Dawn" will split into two parts. "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" is due November 18, 2011 while "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" set to come out on November 16, 2012. Bill Condon will direct both films.
