Nicollette Sheridan's $20 Million Lawsuit Against 'Desperate' Creator Is No More

The dust has settled, dropped the lawsuit against "" creator Marc Cherry. The show's former actress sued Cherry back in April for hitting her in the head and creating a hostile work environment. Sheridan contacted ABC but the network was reportedly on Cherry's side and decided to terminate her contract.

Now Sheridan has agreed to drop claims of physical injury and emotional distress, stating in a joint stipulation on Friday, December 17 at Los Angeles Superior Court that she won't assert any claim for emotional or physical damages. In return, she doesn't have to submit for mental and physical evaluations.

Nevertheless, Sheridan is still able to proceed with the case although the damages will be limited. She can pursue lost wages, benefits and other financial compensation as the case goes forward.

Cherry has not issued a response. Back then he reasoned that the show fired a lot of people every time but only one took it bitterly. The remaining cast such as and backed him up, saying in a joint statement, "The friendships and support that Marc Cherry, the cast, the crew and the producers have shared for the past six years have made this a wonderful job that we are grateful for every day."
